Forest-Style Braised Meat with Vegetables (Orman Kebabı)

Ingredients
- 500 g cubed meat (beef or lamb),
- 1.5 cups (200 ml each) peas,
- 2 medium potatoes
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 medium tomatoes,
- 1 medium onion,
- 1 dessert spoon thyme,
- ½ small cup (~100 ml) olive oil,
- 1 cup (200 ml) water,
- Salt, black pepper
Instructions
Wash the meat thoroughly and drain in a colander.
Wash and drain the peas. Wash the tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots, peel them, and dice into cubes.
Cooking
Put the washed and drained meat into the pressure cooker.
Place over medium-high heat and sear the meat. Add 1 cup of water and close the lid of the pot.
Once the pressure indicator rises, cook for another 5 minutes if using lamb, or 10 minutes if using beef, then remove from the stove.
Once the steam has released, open the lid and pour the meat broth into another container.
Add the chopped onions and olive oil to the meat remaining in the pressure cooker, and sauté for 5 minutes.
Then add the tomatoes and tomato paste, and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the peas, carrots, and potatoes in order. Add 1 small cup of the reserved meat broth.
Add salt, black pepper, and thyme, stir again, and close the lid of the pressure cooker.
Once the pressure valve rises, boil for another 5 minutes, then remove from the stove.
