Ingredients
- ½ kg fresh fava beans
- 1 bunch dill (set aside a pinch for serving)
- 2 stalks fresh garlic
- 2 stalks spring onion
- 1 medium dry onion
- ½ small cup (~100 ml) water
- 1 small cup (~100 ml) olive oil
- 1 dessert spoon sugar
- 2 dessert spoons flour
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Salt
Instructions
Wash the fava beans well, trim the ends, and place them in a bowl of water.
To keep the fava beans from browning, sprinkle lemon juice and flour into the bowl of water, mix in with your hand, and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, finely chop the dry onion, spring onions, and garlic.
Cooking
Add the onions and garlic to the pressure cooker, then drain the fava beans and add them too.
Add the olive oil, salt, finely chopped dill, sugar, and water, then close the lid of the pot.
Cook over medium-high heat until the steam indicator rises, then cook for 3 more minutes over low heat.
Open the lid, transfer to a serving plate, and sprinkle dill on top.
