Ingredients
- 14 fresh fava bean pods
- 2 cups (200 ml) yogurt
- 3 tbsp flour
- ½ bunch dill
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dessert spoon red pepper powder
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1.5 dessert spoons salt
- 4 cups (200 ml) water or broth
Instructions
Prepare the bowl in which you will soak the fava beans by adding 3 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of flour, and 1 dessert spoon of salt.
Wash the fava beans. Remove the tips, finely chop the beans, then soak them in the bowl of water with the flour and salt.
Finely chop the dill.
Whisk together 2 cups of yogurt and 2 tablespoons of flour in a separate bowl.
Cooking
Add 4 cups of water or broth to a medium-sized pot and place it on the stove.
Once the water boils, drain the chopped fava beans that were soaking, rinse them again, and add them to the boiling pot.
Let it boil for 15-20 minutes.
Add 2-3 spoonfuls of the boiling soup to the flour and yogurt mixture (to prevent the yogurt from curdling), stir, then add it to the soup.
Then add the dill, boil for 5 minutes, and add the salt.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan; once melted, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then the red pepper powder and pepper flakes, and stir into the soup.
After it comes to one more boil, remove from the heat and serve.
Enjoy your meal! 🌿
