Okra with Yogurt (Yoğurtlu Bamya)

Ingredients

  • 300 g okra
  • 1 bowl yogurt
  • 7 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Trim the stems of the okra into a cone shape. Wash thoroughly in plenty of water and drain in a colander.

Peel the garlic and mince it finely.

Add the garlic, olive oil, and salt to a bowl of yogurt and mix.

Cooking

Add water to the pressure cooker up to the level of the steamer rack, and place the rack inside the pot.

Place the okra inside, then close the lid of the pot and put it on the heat.

Cook over medium-high heat until the steam indicator rises, then cook for 5 more minutes over low heat and remove from the heat.

Once the steam has released, open the lid and transfer the okra to a serving plate.

Pour the prepared yogurt sauce evenly over the okra and serve.
