Ingredients
- 1 kg Jerusalem artichokes
- ½ kg chicken, cut into cubes
- 2 medium onions
- 1 carrot
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 small cup (~100 ml) olive oil
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 dessert spoon salt
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup (200 ml) + 1 small cup (~100 ml) water
Instructions
Wash the Jerusalem artichokes, peel them, cut into 4 pieces, and place in a bowl of water.
Peel the carrot, onion, and garlic; slice the carrot into rounds, and dice the onion and garlic.
Wash the chicken and cut it into cubes.
Cooking
Put the chicken in a pot, place it on the stove, and sear it while stirring.
Add 1 small cup (~100 ml) of water, close the lid, and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes until the chicken absorbs all the water.
Add the onion and garlic to the chicken, add the olive oil, sauté for 5 minutes, then add the tomato paste.
Stir, then add the drained Jerusalem artichokes and carrot, and stir again.
Finally, add the spices, salt, and 1 cup (200 ml) of water. Once it starts to boil, close the lid.
Cook over low heat for 15 minutes and serve.
